Ryan Horton - At the top of the screen where it says [Auto] there are options to set the orientation to 4:3 (landscape) or 3:4 (portrait) plus some others. Once you set it, it doesn't matter what orientation the phone is in - it will crop the photo if the camera orientation doesn't match the orientation you have chosen. Is this what you are asking about or something different?
Note that on an older phone the shape of the screen may not match the setting when you rotate the phone, but it takes the picture in the selected orientation.

Tim Trickel: Thanks Tim. That's definitely helpful and something I was not aware of. I used that feature today and the only drawback is that it crops the photo in tighter when viewing in portrait mode. All in all, it's not really that big of a deal though.
